Getting To Searsport Shores Campground

Driving Directions: From the South: Take Route 295N to Augusta and take the Route 3 exit, #113. Drive Route 3 N (towards Augusta/Belfast) approximately 45 miles. Turn left onto Route 1N (just after the overpass). Travel 5 miles, you’ll pass the Comfort Inn and Moose Point State Park. We’re 1 mile beyond the state park on the ocean side of the road. If you miss the billboard and end up in Searsport Village, turn around and come back one mile…then have your eyeglasses checked.

From the South taking route 1: Travel Route 1 through Belfast, we’re 1 mile beyond Moose Point State Park.

From Bangor and beyond: Take route 1A South to the coast. 1A will merge with Route 1, continue South (towards Belfast and Camden) through Searsport Village, we’re 1 mile beyond the village on the ocean side of the road.
From Acadia National Park and points Down East: Take Route 3 or 1A (towards Ellsworth). Merge with Route 1, follow the signs through Bucksport and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge continuing South. Drive through Searsport Village, we’re 1 mile beyond the village on the ocean side of the road.

Airports with regularly scheduled commercial flights: Bangor International Airport (45 minutes from Searsport Shores), Knox County Regional Airport (1 hour from Searsport Shores), Augusta State Airport (1 hour from Searsport Shores), Portland Jet Port (2 hours from Searsport Shores)
Boat: We’re located in one of the most sheltered portions of Penobscot Bay.

Bus: Searsport and all of Midcoast Maine is served by Concord Coach Bus Lines…stops 5 minutes from Searsport Shores. Give us a call if you need to be picked up.
