Camp and Create
June 17 – September 1st
Camp and Create
When you come camping, we want you to step away from your day-to-day life and fully immerse yourself in our world…the tide pools, gardens, goats and honeybees. We hope that you’ll lose track of time and forget what day it is. As a family of craftsmen, we’ve always believed that making something with your hands relaxes both your mind and your body. So we built an art studio and every week during the summer there’s an artist in residence to share his or her passion. There’s no cost to you (except possibly a small materials fee or an occasional opportunity for a private lesson) and the program is open to all campers.
Free Camping, Ship Shape Weekend #27
May 16-19, 2019
Free Camping, Ship Shape Weekend #27
Free camping in exchange for help with our spring chores. Everyone is welcome to share…paint, rake, tend the fire, cook, organize and celebrate our wonderful community!
The schedule proceeds generally like this rain or shine:
Thursday or Friday drive in during daylight hours and choose a campsite. Friday night join us for pizza at the art studio…bring toppings to share and a beverage of your choice…we’ll have the dough ready for custom creations.
Saturday start the day with homemade doughnuts and coffee while we divide up the chores based on what you like to do. We’ll break for lunch…hopefully a BBQ at the beach if the weather is conducive. Dinner’s pot luck and a trivia game.
Sunday and Monday we tie up loose ends, eat leftovers and massage tired muscles.
