What did Your World Sound Like Today?
My world crackled with dried pine boughs, the gurgle of the stream (quivering with elvers), the lapping of the waves, the distant sound of bell buoys and the cacophony of sea birds…gulls and ducks and osprey.
The fog changes our perceptions of distance…Steven’s chainsaw at the art studio sounded miles away but the bell buoys off Sears Island sounded like you could reach out and touch them…a magical afternoon of chores.
What did you hear today?
